Clase Azul Reposado Tequila is made at Productos Finos de Agave at Nom 1416, in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas in Los Altos (highlands), Jalisco, Mexico from 100% Tequilana Weber Agave. Clase Azul is owned by Arturo Lomeli (Casa Tradicion), who also doubles as the master distiller.

Clase Azul is an ultra-premium, 100% Weber Blue Agave, Reposado Tequila. Clase Azul Tequila is the perfect marriage between the finest Tequila and tall, handsome decanters which are handcrafted, hand-painted, and numbered by local artisans. Known as majolica in Spain, the bottle style is called Talavera, which was introduced to Mexico by Spanish artisans of the Colonial period.

An unbelievably good Reposado Tequila, Clase Azul is made from Organic agaves which are grown for over 9 years before slow cooking in traditional stone ovens for a minimum of 72 hours. The fermentation is done using the company’s secret blend of yeasts, and then comes distillation followed by triple filtration. The Tequila is then aged for a minimum of 8 months in small, hand-selected oak barrels.

The producer uses a blend of Bourbon, Cognac, and Sherry casks in the aging process. This aging period and the use of these different barrels differentiates Clase Azul and gives it an award-winning taste profile that exceeds expectations with each sip. It has distinct, smooth flavors and aromas, as well as an excellent balance over the palate. Clase Azul’s incredible Reposado Tequila has been awarded Gold medals by the Beverage Testing Institute and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Best served chilled. Clase Azul Reposado Tequila is a perfect partner for grilled meats and vegetables, melon with serrano ham, and dark chocolate.

Tasting Notes: Clase Azul Reposado Tequila

Eye/Colour/Appearance: Intense amber.

Nose/Smell/Aroma: Woody, fruity, spicy, with notes of earthy agave, vanilla, and toffee caramel.

Palate/Taste/Flavour: Smooth and woody with notes of pineapple, cooked agave, with satisfying hints of vanilla and toffee caramel.

Finish: A smooth, silky, and rich finish.
